Have you ever watched “Twilight Zone”? That crazy show from years ago that used to come on at midnight? (I think I just aged myself)
The plots were usually ho-hum, but the twists and turns within the shows always kept my attention. You never really knew what to expect. There was always a last minute change in direction, or some shift in the plot that would reveal an unexpected outcome.
Life can be a little like “The Twilight Zone” for me sometimes; full of unexpected twists and turns.
Change is the constant we can count on in the different areas of our life. Jobs…family situations….finances…friendships…It seems that as soon as I get comfortable in one area of my life, another part shifts into the “Twilight Zone”. Sometimes we find ourselves spinning because we have multiple changes going on at once.
It can be exhausting, scary, uncomfortable.
But, change opens opportunity for God to move in our lives in a way we never could have on our own. It opens new doors of possibility, and closes those that have no more use for His purposes in our lives.
Change is good.
I’ve come to realize it’s God’s way of keeping my gaze fixed on Him.
I’ve come to embrace the “Twilight Zone.”
