Have you ever heard it said that, “out of our misery often comes our ministry?”
Painful circumstances, trials, sickness, disease, failure, divorce, and other hardships are often the very thing that qualifies us to speak into the lives of others.
As painful as hardships can be, God can use them for good.
There is a spiritual battle that wages against us, however, that can’t be ignored here. Our enemy has one basic goal: destruction. His plan is simple; do whatever it takes to destroy you and I, and if he can cause us to destroy ourselves that is all the better. He wants to keep us in the pit of despair, thinking our lives are just a waste.
We win the battle when we surrender our painful circumstances to the Lord, and trust Him with it. He can do amazing things with a surrendered heart. Only He can take our painful hardships and shape them into something beautiful!
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28, NIV)
Friend, nothing is wasted.
God works “all things” together for good when we love and place our trust in Him. The key is to let go, surrender, and trust Him with it. As often as it takes: daily, hourly, and moment by moment. He is faithful.
