I can be surrounded by my family, busy with daily activities, tasks and errands to be run, and still feel an overwhelming sense that whatever I do doesn’t matter..it’s not going to come together in the end. It doesn’t matter what “it” is, I find myself losing hope that things will work out, come around, turn out fine, and so on.
Do you do this?
One of the definitions of hope is, “a feeling of trust”. A verb. An action.
When we place our “hope” in Christ, we are saying we trust him. Even when things seem hopeless in our lives, we have a “hope” in Christ. Even though we don’t “feel” like things are working out as we would like, we can trust that He has it all under control. Hope is faith. We can’t see the end, the resolution, the outcome, but we trust that God has it under control.
We have a hope.
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not se”en.” Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
