Reading in Romans I came across a favorite passage today:
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” Romans 8:18,19 (NIV)
When we place our hope in Christ, we become the sons and daughters of God, able to “mount up with wings as eagles, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint” (paraphrased from Isaiah 40:31).
I love these two truths. They give hope and perspective when I’m flapping my wings around in self doubt and deliberations, questioning whether or not I should just go for it and fly…do that thing God called me to do, take that leap of faith and put myself out there.
What about you? “The creation waits in eager expectation for [you] to be revealed.”
