Hello! My name is Crystal, and…
I drink far too much coffee, have an obnoxiously loud laugh, and I am terrible at small talk. I tend to dive straight into deep conversation, but that allows me to hear some amazing stories of hope, healing, and redemption.
These beautiful people are my family. They are the one’s who fill my days with goodness and who love me in spite of myself.
I’m a city girl from the west coast and my handsome husband, Wes (big smile, green sweatshirt), is a southern boy from the hills of Virginia – where this photo was taken. We are hysterically opposite in some ways except where it matters most – our faith and hope in Jesus Christ. We both love God with all our hearts, and strive to raise our family to do the same. Wes and I have shared twenty-three years of marriage together and are blessed with three children, two grandchildren, and our son-in-law.
My passion is to point broken people to the hope and healing found only in Jesus Christ.
I’m an author and the founder of Journey to Heal Ministries. I write, paint, speak, mentor, teach and host women’s events/retreats to that end. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I know first hand that God has the power to heal the worst kind of wounds – soul wounds. He has done this for me and no matter what you’ve been through, friend, He can do the same for you!
I hope you’ll find some needed encouragement, hope, and inspiration here. If I haven’t completely run you off yet, let’s connect on social media. I’m pretty active on Facebook and Twitter, and if you ever find yourself in Wilmington, NC, let me know – the coffee will be on me!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.”
